How Coastal Erosion Contributes to Poverty

A unique and remarkable environment that took thousands of years to create thanks to the abundant sediment and fresh water of the mighty Mississippi River has been nearly decimated in less than a century."
Courtney Howell and Diane Huhn, Director and Volunteer Coordinator of Bayou Grace Community Services, have written this in a commentary to lawmakers and the public, pleading for action. "Without action now to help address coastal erosion, an environmental problem will become a socioeconomic one."
